Meet team kidsGo!

Mio Debnam (author), Tania Willis (illustrator) and Dania Shawwa Abuali (publisher, Haven Books) established kidsGo! to speak directly to young travelers who are discovering new places with their families. Our aim is to pass along the best and most interesting recommendations for a typical week-long family vacation in a variety of popular destinations.

This website is connected with our printed kidsGo! travel guidebooks, which are helpful and gorgeous in equal measure. Whereas regular guidebooks offer you hundreds of pages to wade through before you can figure out what to do, kidsGo! guides save a family time by offering a carefully selected list for the type of day you're planning:

TOP SIGHTS AND MUST-DO’S
ON THE WATER
BE A CULTURE VULTURE
TALK TO THE ANIMALS
GO WALK ABOUT!
MUSEUM MANIA
FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD
IT’S RAINING, IT’S POURING
SHOP TILL YOU DROP

and more, including FAST FACTS, basic foreign phrases, do’s and don’ts, things to spot, plus nuggets of HISTORY and CULTURE.   Useful area MAPS put the main landmarks in context, so that the family can plan its day at a glance. We will help kids become involved in the entire travel experience, get excited about planning it ... and learn something new about a brand new part of the world!

How to use kidsGo!

BEFORE your trip, look up interesting facts about your destination on the kidsGo! website. Find out about the weather, the culture, the currency, and maybe a few useful phrases! Your parents can look up travel tips from other families, like what clothes to bring or what things avoid. And you can select from a list of family-friendly hotels.

DURING the trip, you can be 'in charge' by using you kidsGo! guidebook every day to make great suggestions to suit your family's mood and wishes. What's better than knowing that the restaurant you've picked will actually be good? Or that the adventure park you're headed for has just the ride you've been wanting to try?

And the best part is, AFTER you come home you can immediately share your travel memories! You can post your best photos, artwork, short videos or writing online on the Kids Go & Show page.
